Philipp Heisenberger studies Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration (M.Sc.) at RWTH Aachen University. He started his bachelors in Brazil but soon transferred to Aachen where he finished with a thesis in Process Mining. In his master’s he selected courses with a focus on process and data analytics. His master thesis deals with the challenges of applying Process Mining in a production context. The intersection between business and IT is his main interest which finally lead him to the Process Mining Group of Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technologies FIT in Aachen where he’s working as research assistant since April 2021. When he’s out of office you can find him cycling or skiing in the mountains, always searching for a new line, or travelling.
